Amateur dramatics without any of the stress: we assign the parts, get together and read/act the plays out loud. Costume, props and silly accents encouraged but entirely optional!
And we don't just do Shakespeare: other plays, Elizabethan or not, film scripts, TV shows are all fair game. It's an awful lot of fun and I encourage you to sign up... the words are dead if you leave them on the page!
One of our first non-Shakespearean plays in a long time: "Cash on Delivery" by Michael Cooney is a farce with "lies, lies and more lies, people getting knocked out, men without their trousers, mis-timings, mistaken identities, cross dressing and dead bodies."
